Darwin once said,
“It’s not the strongest of the species that survives,
nor the most intelligent; it is the most adaptable to change.”
Growing up there was a heavy focus on intelligence and education.
It was assumed that an intelligent person with a good education stood the best chance in life.
I’m sure if you look at the numbers you’ll find that to be true of the broad populous, and if your goal is to rise to the ranks of the middle class then you’ll be fine following that prescription.
But I’m not interested in a life of mediocrity. When I look around what I see are a lot of unhappy people who feel oppressed and angry.
From the George Floyd protesters to the flag toting conservative screaming “Don’t tread on me”. Everyone seems to feel they’re getting the wrong end of the stick.
We’ve got more money, more opportunity and more resources to pursue that opportunity than at any time in history. Yet we still feel oppressed.
If you struggle with change
you’ll never find success or freedom
You won’t find freedom in the halls of congress. You won’t find it in your job. You won’t find it on vacation or simply by making more money.
Freedom requires adaptability. Most people want everyone else to change. They see others as the problem and in need of correcting. They see nothing wrong with their own ideas or behavior.
But most people don’t change. They keep doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.
One guy I think exemplifies adaptability as well as anyone is my friend Vin Armoni.
Vin moved his entire family to Sipan when COVID. He feared the same things we all did. Oppression, forced vaccines, a breakdown in the rule of law…
The difference between him and everyone else is, he embraced change.
Vin embraces the 3 pillars of Nomadic Wealth I talk about.
- He is constantly acquiring rare and specialized skills.
- He controls the source of his income through entrepreneurship and investment.
- He’s made his income mobile by focusing on work. that can be done from anywhere.
Vin has an amazing newsletter (I’m a subscriber myself) focused on helping folks just like you find that freedom and autonomy in their lives.

I’m not telling you to move half way around the world every time your government does something you don’t like, what I’m saying is the level freedom and happiness you have won’t come from a classroom or by decree.
It comes from your willingness to step outside your comfort zone and risk what you’ve got for something better.
If you want your life to change YOU must change. If you want something different you must DO something different.
Change is everything and whether you like it or not, your life will be in a constant state of change from the movement you’re born until the day you die.
Might as well embrace it.
