How to Build a List of Buyers for Your Coaching Business

When I polled my audience each year the number one thing they struggle with is finding new leads.

That’s not surprising.

The hardest part of running a business is finding people who have the DESIRE and ABILITY to buy.

Yesterday we talked about email marketing and how it’s still the most profitable form of marketing available today.

Not having an email list today is like setting money on fire. You’re literally working 10 times as hard as you need to.

The problem is, most people are building an email list of tire-kickers rather than buyers who are desperate for change, or…

They have a list of people who are desperate for help but don’t have the money to buy from you.

They either have desire or ability…but not both.

So how do you find people with both the desire for change and the ability to afford your solution?

Well, the two biggest factors that decide whether the people you add to your list are good buyers or not is…

  1. The Offer or “Lead Magnet” you use to get them on your list.
  2. The Traffic Source they come from.

If you’re selling “How to Buy Real Estate with No Money Down, No Experience and No Common Sense”, you shouldn’t be surprised when your leads are all broke degenerates.

If you’re selling “How to Make $10,000 a Month Writing 2 Hours a Day”, you shouldn’t be shocked when all the people on your list are lazy, opportunity seekers.

Then theirs your traffic source…

If you pay an affiliate to promote your product and it brings in 500 leads and 50 sales – those leads are far more valuable than if you promoted a free webinar on Instagram.

A ‘looky-loo” who signs up for your newsletter after seeing a post on Twitter isn’t nearly as valuable as one who watches 2 hours of your videos on YouTube.
